Family Trees
hand torn muslin on trees

Family Trees displayed at N Charleston City Hall, as part of that city's annual art festival. After four years, finally, a place to display this work in real size. The format changed slightly, because of the availability of the outside space. With that, the photos were not necessary to tell the story. There were some unexpected positives to this display. The reflections of the trees on the marble provided additional depth. The breeze gave motion to the exterior tree and the roses provide a wonderful addition of color. The most satisfying thing, however, was that it came together pretty much as I envisioned.
